"The Art of Thom Shaw"

Get ready for an exceptional Art Auction from African-American Artist, Thom Shaw. Cincinnati, (b.1947-d.2010). He was known for his stark black and white woodcuts which depict the horrors of inner city life. He had several exhibitions at The Miller Gallery, Closson’s. He was the Taft Museum’s Duncanson Artist- in -Residence in 2005. He also exhibited at the Studio Museum in Harlem and abroad at the Jenewein Gallery in the Czech Republic. "I’m Cincinnati’s best kept secret" he said, although his work is shown at major museums in Cincinnati, Indiana, New York and in galleries across the Midwest.
